About Me
Hi
Hello! I’m Duncan. I live in Bradford‑on‑Avon, Wiltshire with my wife, our two children, and our rescue dog, Fuzz.
I’ve spent more than two decades helping communities and organisations rethink how places can deliver greater benefit for people and nature. My career has taken me across the public, private, and third sectors, with senior leadership roles in large local authorities, global consultancy Arup, and most recently the National Trust.
I hold a BA(hons) in Archaeology and an MBA in Environmental Management from the University of Liverpool, along with a Masters in Urban Power and Influence from Boston University. I’m also a chartered transport planner and an APM‑qualified complex project sponsor.
Throughout my career, I’ve led large, multi‑award‑winning ReWeave projects—including the transformation of Castlefield Viaduct—and supported many others in an advisory capacity to help bring life back to historic assets and overlooked places.
I love big, knotty challenges and I’m at my best when bringing partners together, building momentum, and turning ambitious ideas into something real and impactful. I’m a regular speaker and advisor on heritage re‑use, urbanism, and the future of place.
I’m driven by a belief that places can be more equitable, more imaginative, more joyful—and that re‑purposing our existing, unloved assets is one of the most powerful ways to deliver regeneration, environmental, and social value - reweaving this assets, with and for communities.
